Do you live in abundance? Do you love doing what you do? Are you experiencing excitement at the moment, or are you just bored?
Are you living your best life?
If your answer to some of these questions is NO, then you’re probably not sure what it means to live life to the fullest, by your rules, according to your needs. It should really be that way.
A short story of mine
How can you focus on yourself, not others? It doesn‘t sound that hard, right? But for some, it definitely is!
And I am so guilty of that! I am the perfect example of a person who was always trying to please his parents. Family is so important for me, and I used to do anything just to make my parents proud of me.
They expected me to live a life that they thought was the right one for me and follow their steps.
But guess what? I did everything they wanted for me, invested so much time and effort… just to find out it was not making ME happy.
So, it is important to find out how to focus on yourself first! That’s easier said than done when you are in a relationship or marriage, or even when having to deal with family members. Your partner or parents (or even friends) will always have certain expectations from you, and it can get really hard and exhausting when you’re constantly trying to be what others expect you to be.
The good thing is that you don´t have to do so! Keep on reading, and I will show you how to start taking care of yourself, focus on your needs and on your relationship with yourself first. I will share with you my proven self-care tips and ideas to support you.
How to regain focus in life and get to know yourself
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma – which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. – Steve Jobs
Forget about the past
There is no need to think about the past or the future. The past is already gone, regardless of the results, and the future has still not happened.
Let your unhappy past or past problems stay behind you; this is where they belong. This means leaving behind disappointments, sadness, a broken heart, etc.
To live better, you need to get better.
Forgive the part of you that made mistakes in the past.
Heal yourself from any limiting beliefs that you have in your live. Let the negativity, doubt, anxiety stay in the past. Learn how to focus on yourself and the positive side of life.
Find out who you are
Each of us has his own set of ethics, principles and moral norms. Live up to yours every day!
Develop your own beliefs about the world. Life is more fulfilling when you are simply yourself.
Think about what worries you about what’s going on these days. What would you change in the world? Get in touch with yourself.
For most of us, it’s not that easy to decide what we want from our lives, what to learn or which philosophy to follow.
There are many reasons for this, but the most common is that we do not interact with enough different types of people. So, give yourself the time and space to explore.
Be true to yourself. Stop begging other people or pretending to be someone else. It is better to be an original version of yourself than a bad copy of someone else.
You need to learn how to focus on yourself and not others.
Do you always buy the clothes that you want? Or do you choose the clothes that others may like?
I am not a fashion guru, but this is a phenomenon that I have often noticed. Even I sometimes catch myself thinking – “What are people going to say when they see me in this dress?”
I don’t believe you are feeling particularly happy when you limit yourself that way.
What are your values in life? How would you rate your confidence? Your honesty and integrity? What about your love life? What about your attitude to money?
Which one is number 1 for you?
Be honest with yourself and follow your instincts
How does your ideal life look like? Project it in your mind.
First, start by analyzing your life at the moment in different areas: career, health, love, social life, etc.
Is it 10 out of 10? What are you missing?
What life should the best version of yourself be living? Identify your goals and ideas, even if they may seem insane at first. There are no restrictions in life, only those that we decide to create ourselves.
This is the process of getting to know who you are and what you represent, being aware of your identity.
But I am sure that deep down, you already know what your dreams look like. You are just scared that you may fail if you try to make them true.
You are afraid of people laughing at you, and you don´t want to feel ashamed. And this is so normal… but it doesn’t mean you should accept it.
Stop thinking about the possible problems and start working on yourself and your skills.
Create your guidebook for YOUR life. The book of your life will show you the right way, even if you sometimes get lost. It will show you the direction and remind you of the reasons why you chose the new way in the first place. This is your self-care book.
What excites you and makes you happy?
You can just wait around for opportunities to come while your life just passes by, or you can go and create opportunities that match your life goals.
The latter is recommended, but the decision is yours. Your life belongs to you and the responsibility for it too.
Stop going through your life without actually living it! Have you noticed how you are always distracted? You do one thing, but your mind is somewhere else? We get distracted. We oftentimes don´t live in the moment; we are laking mindfulness.
Become more conscious now. Observe your body, thoughts, and feelings now. Just watch them and let them be!
Knowing how to focus on yourself and your feelings will help you understand yourself and what actually makes you happy in life.
Put yourself first and focus on what makes you happy and not others
Do the things you love because life is too short and valuable to live someone else’s dream. Spend your time and energy doing something that will bring YOU satisfaction and happiness.
It´s time to prioritize YOU!
Align your life with your goals. What can you change right now that will allow you to live 100% in line with your goals? Ask yourself, how can you achieve that, regardless of what your life looks like right now?
Don´t think about other people´s opinions or what someone else would do if he/she was you. Do not overcomplicate things that are meant to be easy. It is only about you and your purpose in life. That is all that matters.
Make yourself a priority in your life!
Take your time and don‘t rush it – you have been programmed your whole life
You have finally decided to follow your dreams and go your own way – congratulations, dear!
But don´t forget to be patient – all good things need time.
The only thing that matters is that you have started.
Focus on the little progress every day. Don´t be disappointed if you occasionally don´t feel so motivated, or you don´t see big changes happening straight away.
You have been programmed your life whole to focus on others and their way of living life. It will take you some time to completely shift the focus onto yourself.
Just trust the process and practice self-care.

How to find your true calling and improve yourself professionally
Define your goals in life and find out how to make them true
Define the mission of your life. Once you do, you will begin to feel how much more motivated you will be to live your life at full speed.
Commit to living your best life. What principles do you want to follow in your life? Find them and follow them religiously!
Discover your true passion in life. What kindles the fire within you? Go outside and find out what you like to do.
Once you get your perfect life in your head, set five-year, three-year, and one-year goals. The more specific they are, the better!
Start acting toward your dreams and goals. Create your action plan according to your strategies and plan and immediately proceed to the next steps written in it.
Do not focus on social status, power, money or material objects. These things will make no real difference in the way we feel.
Focus on your feelings, focus on yourself and what will help you achieve your dreams.
What do you want your life to look like?
Turn your passion into a successful career. Stop working a job that does not excite you. Just leave your regular job once you are ready to work on your passion full-time.
I just don´t know a single person that is motivated and gives his best to work a job that is not inspiring to him.
Find your passion and follow it. Work on it outside of your regular working hours. But never give up.
There’s always a way to turn what you love doing into a career. Keep in mind that it may not come in the form you imagine, so be open-minded and be prepared to see and grab the opportunity once it shows to you.
Then leave your regular job – you’re ready for it, just go!
You don’t have to stick to what you don’t need! It does not make you happy, and you are not making much money from it because you are not inspired.
And, honestly, people tend to take action once they have no other choice. Leaving your workplace will be that kick in the butt that you need to start taking real action. But then you will surely be surprised by all of the opportunities that will show up!
Focus on a peaceful relationship with yourself

Listen to people but decide for yourself
Listen to the criticism and learn from it. Be open to your friends, but don´t get affected by their words. Criticism aims to make you a better person, so make the best out of it.
People say inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person to control your emotions.
And they are right. Learn when to say NO, and don´t feel guilty for it. Don´t let people take control of your life. Make your own decisions.
You are in control. And don´t be afraid that your friends will get mad at you. The real friend will always understand and support you.
Say goodbye to people and relationships that only pull you back. This means simply ignore negative people that make you feel bad and hinder your growth.
We need to spend more time with like-minded people that are positive and successful, strong and support your growth. Free yourself from people with negative vibes.
Let negative people go.
Now you are in control.
Start paying attention to the things you want to achieve. The most important skill you want to master is how to focus on yourself, your goals and rebuilding your life.
Love yourself for who you are and believe in yourself
You may have great dreams for yourself.
You probably imagine yourself thinner and more toned.
Do you see yourself living in a big house?
Are you going on vacation every month?
We are always striving for something because we are comparing ourselves to others.
So, in the process of focusing more on yourself, I want you to simply stop thinking what your friend/neighbor has and you don´t.
Concentrate on yourself and all of your qualities because you have a lot! You are just too busy looking at what others have.
Free yourself from these thoughts and start loving yourself, your body and soul for what you already are!
Believe in yourself and understand how unique you are.
Self-Care Tips and Ideas
Always make sure to take time for your self-care, even if it is something very small, like going for a walk or taking a long bath.
Do small self-care activities as often as you can and treat yourself the way you deserve!

Love yourself. You are the only person you need to live with for the rest of your life.
Love the others around you. Appreciate them and be grateful for them because, in one way or another, they have contributed to your growth and have supported you in your journey.
And while I keep repeating that you must know how to focus on yourself and not others – please keep something in mind. Your life wouldn’t be the same without them.
Last but not least – love life!

Using my strategies, you will not only be at peace with yourself but find your true calling and improve your career and personal life. And now you know how to actually maintain peaceful relationships with yourself, partner, family, friends or colleagues with ease.
